Today we went to Santa Clara for Katrina's 3rd birthday party, where you tried very hard to figure out what "pin the ear on Mickey" game was all about and keep up with the bigger kids. You loved the play kitchen, house and vacuum cleaner and even waited for the older girls to get done to score your turn with the baby doll and stroller.
Tonight after all the cake and cookies you had a hard time going to sleep. After 4 renditions of Happy Birthday song with Daddy, you sang your repertoire to yourself in bed (ABDC, Twinkle Twinkle, repeat) before you demanded to go the potty. With all the excitement of Alex's arrival, we have gone back to diapers for the time being, but you conveniently remember to ask to go potty at bedtime - many times more than once. Your language is improving too - "Daddy come here. Something tell you." Last week at Tyler and Lexie's house when we were talking about the green beans at dinner you suddenly ran back to the potty, sat down, and afterwards demanded "jelly bean!" - (that was the reward at Lexie's house).
You have also been really into money lately. You find all the loose change around the house and run and put it into your piggy bank. A couple of weeks ago when we all went out for breakfast you told Daddy "Ben bring money, bank, pay breakfast!" - someday soon we'll take you up on your offer!
