Since turning 3 years old last week, you are becoming even more and more independent. You're going to the potty mostly on your own, helping turn on the lights, and insisting on taking the elevator by yourself while we take the stairs. You proudly declare "I'm 3" and have asked if you're going to be 4 on your next birthday, and when (it'll be a long time to wait!).

Today I took you to the pool while Alex was in Kid's Club, and you made huge strides in your swimming. You just keep going under water, holding your breath, and kicking and pushing with your arms. You couldn't get enough and I was amazed at how fearless you were to keep going under, even when you swallowed lots of water!

When we got out of the pool and I was corralling Alex, your independence extended to the locker room where you were singing and doing multiple running laps, naked, while refusing to get dressed. Mommy told you it might be a while until I take you swimming again, I was exhausted!
