We'll catch the broken thread again and finish what we here began -- heaven will the mysteries explain and then -- oh, then, we'll understand.

Minnesota fun: Ben has been looking at pictures from last summer and eagerly awaiting the trip to Minnesota. So far we have done lots of exploring with Grandma Zannah and Grandpa Chuck. You had a great time painting your face at the Children's museum, all by yourself, using lots of your favorite color - yellow.

We also went to the pool, played with the hose and the sprinkler (grandma went looking for you and you had found the hose and turned it on all by yourself) and had ice cream and watched the bicycle race with Grandpa.

I think the highlight for you so far was a trip to Como Town amusement park - you rode lots of rides but I think your favorite was the bumper cars - you rode once with Mommy and once with Grandma and you got to steer. You absolutely exploded with glee every time we bonked into someone! I loved seeing your face light up so much.

Ben's accomplished a lot the past two months:

- learned to start riding his pedal bike by himself
- get dressed by himself (only with the proper motivation, usually 15 minutes of Curious George)
- helped Daddy make pizza
- went camping with Mommy (twice) - and loved exploring the creeks, and cried when we had to take down the tent
- put batteries in his own flashlight
- open beers for Daddy
- ignores the word No unless he says it
- climbs up onto the stool at parties, helps himself to chips & guacamole
- says "Holy Guacamole" - a line from a book he has
- gives Alex the most vigorous wake-up greeting ever, which involves yelling "Alex!" running into the room, and throwing all the blankets and pillows into Alex's crib before jumping in himself (while Alex is still inside)
- told Fiona "I'm your best friend when I with you, when I not with you, you not my best friend"
- split his lip open twice in the same day
- has great cuddles with Mommy and Daddy at book time
